Making mistake is something very common or I can say very universal in our lives. It is always considered as a wrong thing to do since making mistake effects other individuals as well. Although it brings negative effects to other people, there are good things coming out from people making mistakes. Here are two of my experiences that will surely make you believe that making mistake is not just an act of waste. It in fact brought some beneficial lessons which helps us improve our lives.
Some mistakes are caused from our own act. One day my friend and I was about to enter a music concert. We bought our ticket two days in advance so that we didn’t have to queue for too long. It all went really well until somebody snatched my wallet as I was entering the concert gate. The ticket was in it and there was no way we were going to enter the concert without it. So we chased that robber together with those who stood next to us. Unfortunately he got away really fast. No one managed to capture him. I lost my cards, ticket and some cash which I truly regret. Since then I became more careful in keeping things especially my wallet. Although it suffers me quite a lot, it taught me a lesson to be wary in any situation of any place.
Other mistakes are made by others which affects us. For instance, the mail man who sent a wrong package to my house. He came to my house with a large package the size of a television with my name on it. I was really surprise for nobody had contacted me for any package delivery. He asked me to sign a receivement paper as a prove that I had the package in my hands. So I signed the paper and opened the package right after he left. To my surprise, the package was supposed to be for someone who happened to have a very similar name as mine. Therefore I searched for the address and returned the package. The man got really disappointed and immediately complained to the delivery company. At first the mail man blamed me for signing the receivement paper. But the company suggested that it was all the mail man’s error. Then the mail man got fired and never to send packages again. I was sorry for him for I didn’t mean to put him in a fault.
From the examples above, we could clearly see that both mistakes brought something useful. Both act of human errors taught the writers as well as the people involved in the incident a lesson.
