METALLIC ORE MINERALS AND HUMAN

            For centuries human have been using metallic ore minerals to support their civilization. Before metal was introduced to the human society, stone were the most common means of making tools. But as human evolves they discovered that metals are stronger and much more practical as it could be crafted into varies shapes.

            The first metals that were used by humans were bronze and iron. Both were widely used in almost every aspect of life. Glass, spoon, forks, kettle, cooking utilities are good examples from household utensils. From political aspects, metals were used to equipped soldiers with weapons and shields. Metals were used for trade when gold became the major means of exchanging. Travel and many other aspects of life were also dependent to metals as well. The usage of metals increased until the time of industrial revolution.

            During the industrial revolution demands for metals boomed. People started inventing machinery that allows massive amount of production with less cost. Then discoveries of new tools appear. This leads human civilization to rely on more and more to metals. By this time, metals were not just Iron and bronze and gold. Zinc, aluminums, copper and lead also contribute to the list of metals being used.

The invention of automobiles burst metal need to a whole new level. Development of technologies in our days had also influenced usage of metals. In the future this trend will continue, and more and more different metals would probably be introduced to the group mentioned earlier.

Metals are found in nature in the ore mineral forms. These ores needs to be processed first before they can be used as metals.  Metallic ore minerals have to be economical in order to be mined. It means that the cost of mining and processing minerals must be less than the cost they produced when sold. Therefore human have to first learn about the ore mineral content before deciding to mine it massively. Thus human must continuously upgrade their knowledge towards how to mine these metallic ore minerals. Because for the near future there’s not much alternative that could replace these ore minerals’ role.

            As technology continues to develop, metallic ore minerals will remain an important support to human civilization.
